Darren & Mike - Band Members
Nightmare At Hanging Rock was formed by life long friends Darren and Mike. Always talking casually about wanting to play music together they decided one day to give it a try.
Both members are big time travel enthusiasts. One day Mike Wrote a few sentences for a time travel song and read them to Darren. Darren immediately loved them and picked up where The lyrics left off.
Darren then wrote 5 additional songs about time travel and the band decided to record their themed EP. To their surprise, the recording sessions went really well and they decided to keep at it. They recorded 3 of the 6 songs. With each one, the band felt the songs were getting better.
Eventually they decided the band should move in a different direction and perhaps pick up the time travel recordings at a later date.
Darren then started writing the lyrics and melodies to various songs about serial killers. Darren played them for Mike, he loved them, then Mike added The music and the album "Serial Killers" was born.
The band originally had several different names but none of them seemed to work. Then Darren mentioned the name "Nightmare At Hanging Rock" and both members liked it and agreed that would be their band partnership name.
Recording together and seeing their album being pressed onto CD is a dream come true for both Darren And Mike. Nightmare At Hanging Rock has filmed everything from the very beginning. They look forward to recording together for many years to come. And who knows, maybe they've come from the future to our present time so we could hear their music now.
